My heart goes out to the people who lost their homes tonight to the tornado here. It's a bit freaky that I chose to post pics of my house as my first real post to this blog. I was home alone and there was a tornado watch in my area (Waukesha County) but I really had no idea what I was supposed to do. I wouldn't have even known it was more then a bad thunderstorm if I didnt see someone mention it on Facebook. I just kept listening to the news and hoped for the best. I need to be more prepared for these Wisconsin things. I did learn that if you hear what sounds like a jet engine or a train that you have about 20 seconds to run down to your basement. It would take me that long to wrangle the dog :( and then another 30 to run down the spiral staircase with him. Tomorrow I will start practicing. We will have SuZee and Moby tornado drills.
